During the height of events that occurred on October 7, Maddy courageously offered a safe space on her campus, the University of Penn. She reached out to her Jewish friends on campus to comfort and support them in their time of need and isolation. She a shining example for other students as one who exemplifies integrity, morals, values, and kindness.
