Dennis Ruggierois an educator at St. Pius X High School in Atlanta, GA, where he has taught Theology, Genocide, and Holocaust studies for over 25 years. He is an alumnus of the ADL’s Bearing Witness Program and its advanced seminar, which equip Catholic school educators with the tools and resources to teach students about the history of antisemitism, the Holocaust, and contemporary forms of prejudice. Dennis often leads his senior students on a journey to Munich and the surrounding region to bear witness firsthand. Their visit includes the University of Munich, where the courageous members of the White Rose resistance group were arrested and executed for standing against the Nazi regime.
