Ashley Garrett serves as the Director of Community Affairs at the Consulate in Atlanta, where she has been a steadfast advocate for Israel, the Jewish people, and for strengthening ties between Israel and the United States. While her role at the Consulate primarily focuses on outreach to faith-based and minority communities, Ashley’s commitment to supporting Israel and the Jewish people began long before her time in this position. Her dedication and bridge-building efforts have been consistent and deeply impactful over the years. Upon receiving the white rose, Ashley shared a story about her friend Michael, a proud Jew and Zionist, and the moment she realized he had stopped wearing his kippah after being attacked. “I remember that from that day moving forward, I was going to fight for the Jewish people, because not only am I a Christian, I am a human, and no one should ever feel like they cannot be their most authentic self. Remember to not only be an advocate but to be a human to everyone and love others, fight for people who you don’t know. For every Michael, there’s an Ashley, who loves you and supports you.” Thank you, Ashley for your passionate and continuous support for the Jewish people, the State of Israel, and for fighting antisemitism and all forms of hate.
