Andrea Miskewicz, is the Director, Museum of History and Holocaust Education at Kennesaw State University. She is heavily involved in leading a partnership between the Breman Museum in Atlanta and Kennesaw State University. This partnership provides Georgia public school teachers with the tools to effectively teach the Holocaust. Andrea was instrumental taking this teachable moment a step further by helping to create the Teacher Ambassador Program. A program that equips each cohort of Georgia educators to serve as ambassadors within their school, sharing the knowledge and resources they have gained to impact more students and help to create opportunities for students to meet Holocaust survivors and hear their stories firsthand ensuring that “Never Again” becomes a meaningful call to action. Andrea is also involved in leading immersive study trips to Munich, where these educators visit significant historical sites such as the Dachau Concentration Camp, the Jewish Museum of Munich, and the White Rose Memorial. Thank you, Andrea for your moral courage, your steadfast support of Jewish people, and for using your platform to fight antisemitism.
