Major Ailen Mitchell has built a distinguished 20-year career with the Atlanta Police Department, rising through the ranks from Police Officer to Detective, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, and now Major. He currently serves as Director of the Police Academy at the Atlanta Public Safety Training Center, where he has welcomed the American Jewish Committee on multiple occasions to better understand the critical work being done to keep our communities safe. As a graduate of the Atlanta Police Leadership Institute Tier 5 program and a participant in the Georgia International Law Enforcement Exchange (GILEE) program in Israel, Major Mitchell brings both experience and insight to his work.
