Dr. Mike Hobbs, President of Georgia Highlands College, is a steadfast supporter of Israel and the Jewish people. Since 2020, GHC has been the only college in Georgia to partner with the Israeli Consulate on a range of programs and courses. When Dr. Hobbs became president in 2022, he strengthened this relationship, helping students connect with similarly sized institutions in Israel to foster meaningful virtual partnerships. In March 2025, Dr. Hobbs joined a week-long delegation to Israel alongside activists and influencers from across the Southeast. The trip focused on gaining a deeper understanding of the Gaza-Israel conflict and its impact on the region. Through conversations with local communities and firsthand experiences, Dr. Hobbs deepened his connection to Israel’s people and culture.
